Friday 28th April

Sponsored By Hamill Decorating Services

On Friday 28th April, Musselburgh were first introduced to our Honest Lad and Honest Lass for 2023

Whilst the Lad and Lass were privately signing their agreement to make their election official, outside the The Brunton the waiting crowd were treated to live entertainment from Musselburgh & Penicuik Boys Brigade Pipe Band and Clark Community Choir ahead of the official announcement of the Honest Lad and Honest Lass on the Brunton steps

Children were treated to free ice cream while they waited, and following the announcement, the official party danced the Eightsome Reel accompanied by pupils from Musselburgh Grammar School

The pipe band then led the Lad and Lass in procession to The Store Club to dance the night away and celebrate the announcement of the new Honest Lad & Honest Lass, who will be ambassadors for our town not only at our own Festival Week in July, but at other Border Common Ridings & Festivals throughout the summer

This is the go to platform for Musselburgh Festival. Dating back to 1936, our week long annual celebration honours the traditions of our Town and brings our community together.
