ELECTION NIGHT

Historically, the Lad and Lass were chosen through a public vote. Over time, however, the process has evolved to better reflect modern values and today, the selection is carried out by a dedicated Selection Committee, ensuring a more inclusive and private approach. This change honours the spirit of the tradition while providing a more thoughtful and representative process. The selection committee are a group of individuals who represent all aspects of the community, including, but not restricted to, representatives from our schools, police, churches and local businesses.
